Entering five drivers including rookies, veterans and that 2019 champion, the elite level Mazda MX-5 Cup program will hit the track Wednesday for their first event in a new season of competition.

McCumbee McAleer Racing (MMR) announced today its lineup for the 2021 Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires. The North Carolina based team will make its season debut next week at Daytona International Speedway during the first two rounds of the championship with an impressive lineup of six Mazda MX-5 race cars.

With the growth of the series heading into Daytona growing by the day, all teams are preparing for a fight in hopes of being in top spots. It is crucial for each team to have structure and most importantly, confidence, during the 2021 Mazda MX5-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires season. Spark Performance and Provision Motorsports is teaming up to take on the 2021 MX-5 Cup season, all while being under the same tent but ensuring the end goal is the same for both racing teams.

Hixon Motor Sports continues to add to their stout lineup of drivers as next on the list to join the team is Hannah Grisham. Set to make her Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by BFGoodrich® Tires series debut at the Daytona International Speedway, Grisham is anxious and excited to get her race season started. Confirmed for two events in 2021 so far, Grisham will bring Hagerty and Shift Up Now as primary partners with her and will aim to make the best of her debut January 27 – 29th in the Sunshine State.
