North Vernon, IN (Nov. 3, 2020) – Fresh off of being awarded the 2020 Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires Rookie of the Year title on the streets of St. Petersburg, JTR Motorsports Engineering is excited to announce the expansion to a multi-car team for the 2021 season. 

In JTR's maiden season in MX-5 Cup, the team was able to achieve its goals of winning the rookie of the year accolade with Mazda scholarship driver, Jared Thomas, as a result of our fourth-place finish in the final points standing. The crew at JTR Motorsports Engineering is preparing to ride this momentum into the first 2021 MX-5 Cup event, now sanctioned by IMSA, under the lights at Daytona International Speedway in January during the Rolex 24 weekend.

2021 will be JTR's 25th anniversary in the motorsports industry. JTR has a diverse racing resume successfully completing in karts, asphalt late models, and sports cars all at the highest levels. The large amount of experience has allowed JTR to put together one of the best engineering staffs in the industry.
