Robert Noaker won the second round of the Alana Long 100, completing a clean sweep of the entire Battery Tender Global MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires event. Noaker’s number 13 Mazda led every on-track session of the week, pacing practice, winning both poles, and taking the top spot in both races. His fifth career win today completed his first weekend sweep in the series.
Mazda Scholarship winner Rookie Jared Thomas finished second for his first podium, with Selin Rollan third. The Spark Performance and Carter Racing Enterprises teams ran at the front and swapped the lead several times, but Noaker took his Copeland Motorsports machine to the front when it counted, leading the most laps of the day and scoring the fastest lap of the race.
Noaker will take the series point lead to the next event at Mid-Ohio, where he has won the last two years in a row.
