Gresham Wagner topped every Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires session at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Friday. His fast form continued in the afternoon qualifying session, where he broke his own lap record to win the pole position for Saturday’s Round Five race. He will share the front row with Michael Carter.

A mere week after racing on the hallowed grounds of Indianapolis Motor Speedway, teams of the Battery Tender® Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires are back in action for Rounds Five and Six at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend.

It’s been three years since Todd Lamb stood on the top step of the Battery Tender® Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires podium. At Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday, he made his return, besting championship leader Robert Noaker.

Driving the No. 87 Spark Performance entry, Selin Rollan went from fourth on the grid to win the opening round of Battery Tender® Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday. Rollan’s teammate Gresham Wagner crossed the line first after leading all 22 laps of the 45-minute event, but lost the position following a post-race technical inspection.

Gresham Wagner earned his second-career pole position in the Battery Tender® Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday. He will share the front row for Friday’s Round Three race with Michael Carter.
