D2D Motorsports partners with The North End Barbeque and Moonshine for MX-5 Indianapolis Grand Prix

Indianapolis, Indiana – June 12, 2017 – D2D Motorsports and diver Andrew List have partnered with the award winning North End Barbeque and Moonshine for the Battery Tender Mazda MX-5 Cup Indianapolis Grand Prix hosted at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Global MX-5 Cup Indianapolis Grand Prix will take place June 16th and 17th as part of the Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational at IMS.

“I’m excited that as a small, grassroots racing team we get to partner with another grassroots team,” said List. “They just happen to be in the business of cooking great food rather than racing cars; and Indianapolis is always a special place for racing, so it’s especially awesome to work with The North End in their hometown at such an iconic racetrack.”

The North End Barbeque and Moonshine is locally owned and operated restaurant featuring American regional barbeque focused on honoring the great technique and tradition of America’s favorite food. Located on Indianapolis’ north side, The North End prides itself on supporting local farmers who raise beef, pork, chicken and turkey naturally, without the use of antibiotics, hormones, or GMO feed.

“This is great opportunity to blend together two of America’s favorite things: barbeque and racing at Indianapolis,” said North End’s Executive Chef Mitch McDaniel. “We’re looking forward to working with D2D Motorsports, and the Global MX-5 Cup this weekend and getting out to the track for a great weekend of racing.”

The Battery Tender Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires is the signature spec series in the Mazda Road to 24, the sports-car counterpart to the Mazda Road to Indy. The grassroots racing series provides intense competition, while also offering technical expertise and driver coaching to all the teams while competing at world class facilities through North America, and alongside the Verizon IndyCar Series.

“The MX-5 Cup is a very competitive series,” stated List. “So I’m looking forward to some great racing at a great track, and also so great food this weekend.”
