LEXINGTON, Ohio (May 13, 2022) – The Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires reigning champion Gresham Wagner (No. 5 Spark Performance) was the quickest driver of the day at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Friday as he chases a return to victory lane at the rural Ohio circuit. 

Glenn McGee (No. 23 JTR Motorsports Engineering) was quickest in the morning session, turning a 1:36.971. Wagner topped him in the afternoon session with a 1:36.146.

Qualifying takes place tomorrow, May 14, at 8:10am ET. Race 1 goes green the same day at 12:10pm ET. Sunday’s race is set for 11:15am ET. Both races will be streamed live on RACER.com and IMSA.com/tvlive.
