With two events in the Sunshine State at the Daytona International Speedway and St. Petersburg Grand Prix, Copeland Motorsports will bring three drivers to the famed Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend.

After a nine-week hiatus from the Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by BFGoodrich® Tires series, rookie Max Opalski is anxious to get back on track. Ready to join Copeland Motorsports this weekend at the famed Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, Opalski is fresh off a test event at the Ohio facility in his Mazda as well as a podium result in the World Racing League.

With four races in the books in the 2022 Idemitsu Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich® Tires, Hixon Motor Sports (HMS) is adding Ethan Tyler for the remainder of the season. As a former karting champion and multi-time Spec Miata winner, Tyler brings added depth to the already stacked HMS program and will begin his quest for race wins and podium results this weekend at the famed Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
